Ravensburger Gruffalo Domino – ages 3+

Join the dark forest with The Gruffalo! 🌲🐾 The Ravensburger Gruffalo Dominoes is a fun and familiar twist on the classic dominoes game, based on the popular children's book The Gruffalo by Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler. 📚✨

Instead of traditional domino dots, the sturdy domino tiles feature colorful pictures of familiar characters from the story. 🐭🦊🐍🦉 Children try to match two identical pictures together.

The first player to play all their domino tiles wins the game! 🏆🎉

The simple game mechanics make this a fun introduction to board games for young children.

🎯 What does it stimulate/practice?

👀 Visual perception – recognize and compare the different pictures.

🧠 Logical thinking – discover which domino tile you can add to the row.

🔎 Concentration – keep a close eye on the pictures on the tiles.

🧩 Sorting and matching – learn to find identical pictures together.

🤲 Fine motor skills – hold the domino tiles and carefully place them next to each other.

🤝 Social play – learn to play together, wait for your turn, and deal with winning and losing.

🎲🐭 How do you play?

Shake the domino tiles and distribute them among the players. During their turn, each player tries to place a domino tile with a picture that matches one of the pictures at the end of the row. 🔄

This gradually creates a long domino row full of familiar characters from the Gruffalo story. 🌲🐭🦊

Can't place a suitable tile? Then follow the game rules to determine what to do. The first player to get rid of all their domino tiles wins the game. 🏆

🌲📚 Play with familiar Gruffalo characters

The game fits perfectly into the world of The Gruffalo. Children recognize characters such as:

🐭 the Mouse
🦊 the Fox
🐍 the Snake
🦉 the Owl
👹 the Gruffalo

This makes the game not only fun to play, but also a nice addition to reading The Gruffalo.
