At Ed2cate, we believe that toys and educational materials do not lose their value after one child. Many items are still in excellent condition and simply deserve a second life.
That is why we look for high-quality second-hand toys, games and educational materials that can inspire children to discover, play, learn and grow all over again.
Why Ed2cate?
As a parent, you know how quickly children outgrow toys and materials, or how quickly something takes up space when it is actually still perfectly usable.
But educational materials are also constantly being sought after that can help children learn in a fun and meaningful way.
That is why Ed2cate wants to offer a great alternative: fun, educational and affordable second-hand materials, carefully selected and clearly described.

Personally selected with a passion for education
Ed2cate was born out of a love for children, play and education.
As a former preschool teacher with experience in education, I know how valuable well-chosen materials can be. Not every toy is educational, and not every educational material is suitable for every age, developmental stage or activity.
That is why the products at Ed2cate are personally selected and assessed from an education-focused perspective.
When selecting, we do not just look at how fun a product is, but also consider questions such as:
* What can a child discover or learn with this?
* What age or developmental stage is it suitable for?
* What skills can it stimulate?
* Can it be used individually or together?
* Is it interesting for home and/or a classroom environment?
* Does it fit within a particular theme or educational activity?
In this way, we do not simply want to offer as many products as possible, but rather put together a thoughtful and valuable range.
Quality Control
For us, second-hand does not simply mean "reselling whatever we find".
Every product is personally and carefully checked before it is offered in our webshop.
We check the general condition, completeness and functionality of the material, where applicable.
Products that pass our inspection may be fitted with an Ed2cate Quality Control label.
This label is our way of indicating that the product has been checked by us before it is offered.
Furthermore, we try to describe any relevant signs of use, damage or other product features as clearly as possible in the product description and/or make them visible in the photos.
This way, you know as well as possible what you are buying.

Products are not automatically included just because they are available second-hand. We make conscious choices about what we offer and spend time checking, describing and presenting each product.
Our educational background helps us to look beyond just the outward appearance of a product. We mainly want to offer materials that we believe are valuable, usable and suitable for children, parents and education professionals.

Because although second-hand items may have been used, their possibilities are far from exhausted.
Our packaging also gets a second life
At Ed2cate, we believe reuse is important. Not only do our products get a second life, but we also try to reduce waste as much as possible with our packaging.
That is why, where possible, we reuse sturdy cardboard boxes, paper, newspaper and other suitable packaging materials. This way, we also give packaging materials a second chance and avoid the unnecessary use of new materials.
In doing so, we always look for a good balance between sustainability and safe shipping. Of course, your order must arrive well protected.
Therefore, your order may not always be delivered in a new or perfect-looking box. This is intentional: we would rather use sturdy packaging that is reused than unnecessary new packaging materials.
Because at Ed2cate we believe in second chances — for toys, for educational materials and for packaging.
