Sleeping Beauty is an enchanting picture book in which the classic fairy tale comes to life through the unique illustrations by Valeria Docampo. The original text is by Jota Chabel and for this Dutch edition was adapted by Edward van de Vendel.

The story takes you to a kingdom where a long-awaited princess is born. During the grand celebration, twelve fairies are invited to bless her, but the thirteenth fairy is not invited. In revenge, she casts a curse: on her sixteenth birthday, Sleeping Beauty will prick herself on a spinning wheel and die. 🌹

Fortunately, another fairy manages to soften the curse. Sleeping Beauty will not die, but sleep for a hundred years. And so it happens. Around the palace grows an impenetrable wall of roses and the entire kingdom falls into a deep sleep...
